These terms and conditions apply to every direct booking of The Coach House at Gatcombe Estate. By completing a booking, you agree to them in full.
Full payment is required at the time of booking. All bookings are made directly with Gatcombe Estate.
All bookings are strictly non-refundable. In the event of cancellation by the guest, no refund will be issued regardless of the notice given. We strongly recommend that guests take out appropriate travel insurance to cover the cost of cancellation.
In the unlikely event that Gatcombe Estate needs to cancel a confirmed booking, guests will receive a full refund of all monies paid.
A security deposit of £500 will be pre-authorised on your credit card one day prior to arrival. This is a temporary hold and not a charge. The hold will be released within three days of checkout, provided the property is returned in good condition with no damage beyond normal wear and tear. In the event of damage, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the deposit and the guest will be notified accordingly.
Check-in is from 4.00pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 10.00am on the day of departure. Early check-in and late check-out cannot be guaranteed and must be requested in advance. Failure to vacate by 10.00am may result in an additional charge.
The Coach House accommodates a maximum of eight guests. This number must not be exceeded at any time during the stay. Guests not included in the original booking must not stay overnight at the property.
Strictly no pets are permitted at The Coach House or anywhere on the Gatcombe Estate. This policy applies without exception.
The Coach House and all areas of the Gatcombe Estate are strictly non-smoking. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping. Any evidence of smoking within the property will result in an additional cleaning charge.
No parties, events or gatherings beyond the confirmed guest party are permitted at the property. The Coach House is a private residence within a working estate, and the comfort and privacy of the estate must be respected at all times.
Guests are expected to treat the property and its contents with care and respect. The property must be left in a clean and tidy condition on departure. Any damage, breakages or losses must be reported immediately. Guests will be liable for the cost of any damage caused during their stay beyond normal wear and tear.
Gatcombe Estate reserves the right to access the property during a guest stay in the event of an emergency or essential maintenance, with reasonable notice given where possible.
Gatcombe Estate accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury sustained by guests or their belongings during their stay. Guests stay at the property at their own risk. Guests are advised to ensure they have appropriate travel and personal insurance in place prior to arrival.
Guests are asked to be respectful of the wider Gatcombe Estate at all times, including the gardens, vineyard and any other areas of the estate. Access to certain areas may be restricted and any such restrictions must be observed. Please treat this extraordinary place with the care it deserves.
