Meet the Winemaker

A chance to meet our winemaker, Dr Akshay Baboo, formerly of Dom Pérignon and Château d’Yquem, and to hear about the unique qualities of the Gatcombe Estate for age-worthy Pinot Noir and other expressions of premium winemaking.

Akshay leads a guided flight of three wines: our Pinot Noir Cuvée de l’Espérance, our Rosé de Saignée, and a wine from the LVMH portfolio, where he worked as assistant winemaker — a rare chance to taste the estate’s first vintage alongside one of the great houses, with the person who made it.
